Classic Green and White Aldie Mansion Wedding

Bride and groom at Aldie Mansion in Doylestown

There’s nothing quite like a classic Aldie Mansion Wedding! With it’s beautiful grounds and English Country Estate vibes, it’s one of our favorite venues to photograph. We were fortunate to have a our last wedding there featured on Philly In Love and were thrilled to be back for  Gwen and Chris’s classic green and white wedding.  It was a day filled with family, friends and laughter and classic elegance inspired by leafy greenery.

Bridal Prep

Aldie Mansion has some lovely spots to get ready.  While Gwen and her family got ready in the bridal suite, Chris and the guys were down in the library.  Both room have beautiful natural light and large windows. Nerves are always a bit high before the couple sees each other, so taking travel to a venue out of the equation always makes for a simpler, more relaxed day.

Bride and Groom Portraits

Aldie Mansion weddings have so many beautiful spots for photos, I never feel like we have enough time to explore them all! From the beautiful grounds to gorgeous archways and warm wood rooms, there is no reason to go anywhere else for photos. It’s never rained for one of our weddings there, but there are so many beautiful indoor options, it would be just as stunning no matter what the weather.

Ceremony

Gwen and Chris chose to have their ceremony inside to take out any concerns about the weather. To continue their “Greenery” inspiration, Accents by Michelle created a beautiful wall made of greens which provided a backdrop for the ceremony as well as for the photo booth later in the evening. The greens were incorporated through the day in beautiful, subtle ways for a fresh, clean look. (not to mention a great money saving idea!)

Reception

One of the strengths of this gorgeous venue is the wedding planners and staff. They always run absolutely flawless events. The food by Jeffery Miller is top notch, the room is lovely and there are lots of spots for couples to walk outdoors for some fresh air after dancing like mad. And trust me, this reception had some MAJOR dancing going on!

Night Portraits

The giant tree on the property is a beautiful spot for night portraits and Gwen and Chris were ready to sneak away for a few minutes to take a breather.  It’s a beautiful way to finish the photography for the evening. So much romance, so many laughs. This was one to remember.
