Lauren and Mike’s Engagement Shoot at the Hagley Museum was a perfect example of a casual, relaxed engagement shoot. The Hagley Museum in Wilmington, Delaware was the perfect spot for a misty, morning walk with their adorable dog. I’m sort of mortified that I don’t remember their dog’s name. If he’s a wedding guest, I hope it’s not awkward! Lauren and Mike are both military, stationed in the south which means my respect level is already ridiculously high. We spent most of our time on the banks of the Brandywine, where the couple cuddled on rocks and attempted to keep their pooch’s excitement halfway controlled. Pro-tip! Having parents or friends along to dangle treats or take the pup for some shots without them are truly key to make dogs manageable during engagement sessions. I feel like I already owe Lauren’s parents a huge thank you for being on doggie duty! The light was perfect, the winter day warmer than it should be and laughter and smiles were abundant.
