There’s nothing quite like a Philadelphia fall wedding, and the Cescaphe Event Group’s Down Town Club is a breathtaking venue. The Cescaphe Event venues are among my favorites for elegant Philadelphia weddings. I’ve been fortunate to photograph the ornate former movie palace that is the Cescaphe Ballroom, the urban inspired industrial chic of the Tendenza, and the modern ballroom and courtyard of Vie , but I still hadn’t photographed the Down Town Club in Independence Mall. I couldn’t have been more excited. Pro-tip! I actually have a Cescaphe Event Group Pinterest board completely devoted to their venues. It’s filled with tips and inspiration for couples planning weddings at their venues.

Bryn got ready at the Hotel Monaco , one of my favorite bridal suites in the city. The whimsical details and natural light make it perfect for pretty detail shots. Pro Tip! Try not to fall in love with the lobby area, you’re not allowed to shoot there. There are, however, tons of great spots for first looks directly across the street.

Bryn had wanted photos at Head House Square for their engagement shoot, but there was a farmer’s market the day we shot. Luckily it was perfectly empty on their wedding day and made a great spot for their first look.

Broad Street in front of City Hall is always a favorite for Philadelphia weddings. I love to back light the bride and groom and tend to shoot from around Walnut Street.

Independence Mall is a beautiful spot for bride and groom portraits as well as family photos and night portraits. Just make sure you get a permit to shoot there. It’s a huge load of your mind to know you’re allowed to be there and won’t be thrown out with your entire family in tow!

The Down Town Club is inspired by Georgian Revival architecture with tall windows, marbled floors and sweeping views of Old City and the Delaware River beyond. The Cescaphe Event Group has a fabulous 90 minute cocktail hour, which allows for plenty of time for some photos around the venue. Music was a big theme throughout the night, with musicians for the ceremony, a surprise visit from some Mummer’s at cocktail hour, and the amazing band “Jellyroll” for the reception. The Bryn found small ways to honor Alex’s service throughout the day without having a “military” wedding.

Candlelight and beautiful views of the city at night. What could be more romantic than that?

I always love to end the evening with a reception sneak out for some romantic night portraits. Bryn and Alex were happy to take a break, and soak in a little (almost) alone time for some beautiful night shots. It only takes a few minutes, and it’s a lovely way to end your wedding photography.

Oh my goodness now I'll have to visit Philly in the fall! This set of wedding portraits throughout downtown Philadelphia is perfect. Cescaphe Event's downtown club looks like such a good fit for this military wedding. Amazing lighting the entire night through!
Philadelphia has never looked better! These wedding portraits look amazing, especially the romantic night shots. Cescaphe was the perfect venue for this event.
Such a beautiful wedding at The Downtown Club with Cescaphe in Philadelphia. This is such a wonderful Fall wedidng in Philadelphia. And any wedding with Jellyroll is bound to be a great night!
Your Broad Street photos are always on point :) The entire day, from getting ready at Hotel Monaco to the evening at the Downtown Club, you have used Philadelphia to your advantage in these wedding photos. The Cheshire Cat details are my favorite!
Talk about a beautiful wedding - all the amazing details & Philly locations! I especially love The Down Town Club at Cescaphe Events- they seem like they're a wonderful venue to work with as well! The Bride & Groom portraits at their hopeful engagement session location turned first look location were spot on, I love both of their expressions!!
