Snowy Rittenhouse Engagement Shoot and Romantic Winter Wedding

bride and groom dancing in mirrored room at Arcadia University

We absolutely love photographing a romantic Winter Wedding and every year there seems to be one that stands out.  There are those couples who I will always associate with a certain season, especially when both engagement shoot and wedding are in the same month.  Amanda and Keith’s snowy Rittenhouse Engagement Shoot and romantic Winter Wedding will always have me remembering them with a chill in the air, sparkling holiday lights, and Christmas trees.   Their engagement shoot was during the first snow of the season in Rittenhouse Park.  I have a special fondness for couples who will put up with the elements for really fun photos.

Almost a year later, we met again for their wedding day.  Amanda and Keith got ready in homes, surrounded by family and close friends.  Amanda was absolutely stunning in her sparkly, ivory Watters gown (“Janet”) from La Belle MarieeLindsay Costello Maule did a beautiful job with pretty makeup and her soft hair was created by Adriana Ciliberto .  Bouquets of white flowers by Pennypack Flowers completed the elegant look.

The two chose not to see each other before their wedding in Amanda’s family church, St Christopher in Philadelphia.  Knowing that the church was special to them, we made sure to get some pretty photos after the ceremony.

From Amanda:

My best memory from the day was getting to finally see Keith as I walked down the aisle in the church I grew up in!
Also, being able to honor my dad with my something blue being his blue tie cut into a shape of a heart and sewn into my dress.
Keith’s best memory was when he first saw me  and finally got to see what my dress looked like.
After the ceremony we stopped at one of my favorite locations of the year.  Arcadia University is truly breathtaking.  The bridesmaid’s dresses from Bella Bridesmaids, designed by Jenny Yoo in pale shades of blush were absolutely perfect with the limestone bricks of  Grey Tower  castle.  The french inspired mirrored rooms, the grand staircase, just the kind of space you feel honored to be allowed to photograph.

The reception at The Buck Hotel in Feasterville, was truly a joyous one in every way. Close friends and family celebrated with drinks, dancing and a great photobooth by  Greg Photobooth events.  Amanda even surprised Keith with an Eagles wedding cake, and shooting alongside the videographers from Innovation media was a real treat.

From Amanda:
It was an amazing and emotional day for us!
We had some obstacles to get through before we were able to get engaged and married with Keith’s cancer diagnosis. He will be in remission for 2 years in March.  It was a surreal day for us finally getting to become husband and wife after being through so much the Past few years!
Wedding advice for future couples? Take it all in, the day seriously flies by!
