Stephanie and Steve’s summer wedding at Belmont Mansion was one of those that you truly don’t forget. For those of you who haven’t been to the Belmont Mansion, the view of Philly is spectacularly gorgeous. The two had planned the perfect summer wedding which included an outdoor ceremony with their beloved dog, Hendrix, cocktail hour by famed Food Truck Pitruco’s Pizza, a real wood burning, brick oven pizza truck, and sparklers. Lots and lots of giant sparklers.
The day started at Stephanie’s house, with the wedding dress handed down by both her grandmother and her mother, and carefully supervised by “best dog” Hendrix, as Paul went Philly wall hopping with the guys, getting some of the coolest groomsmen shots I’ve ever seen. Stephanie took the summer downpour perfectly in stride, as we quickly moved the planned outdoor ceremony with her beautiful skyline under a tent, dodging puddles and driving rain. Luckily the skies opened up after the ceremony for a beautiful photo walk around the mansion with the new bride and groom.
But we were determined to get Stephanie that epic skyline shot that she wanted, and the weather wasn’t going to stop us. We got a stunning night time portrait of the two that is an all time classic. We played with sparklers, ate amazing pizza and got to spend the day with two absolutely warm and wonderful families and a pack of close friends that clearly mean the world to them. Thank you, Stephanie and Steve for letting us drop into your lives for a day. It was amazing!
