Tattooed Bride Marries Her Love in a Star Wars Themed Wedding at Barn on Bridge

Tattooed bride and groom at Barn on Bridge

ShaunaRae and Andrew’s wedding at Barn on Bridge was the perfect example of every reason we dove into wedding photography in the first place.  This gorgeous tattooed bride and her love’s star war themed wedding was a perfect reflection of heart filled moments, beautiful DIY touches, and plenty of geeky details.

ShaunaRae was a stunning bride. Her beautiful artwork was the perfect compliment to a sweet wedding dress from L and H Bridal, and playful Mod Cloth bridal shoes. Lindsay Cave from Do or Dye Hair Salon gets my vote for the coolest bridal hair ever, which included several pre-wedding day trips for color. I’m not even close to sorry that I was obsessed with portraits of ShaunaRae all day. I love the Bridal Suite at Barn on Bride for portraits, which is good since it always seems to be the coldest day of the year every time I shoot there.

Favorite details? That’s a tough one. Andrew’s AT-AT walker plug was amazing. The Star wars ties and storm trooper ” boutonnières” for the groomsmen, and sweet little suitcases for the ladies instead of bouquets. The flower Shauna Rae made for her dad out of Beetles sheet music was unique and beautiful.  There was even a faux “photo booth” set up in the corner which made a cute area for us to take guests photos during dinner.

I love the romantic night portrait from the end of the evening. It was so cold, I can’t believe Shauna Rae braved it. We got it right literally in 5 shutter counts, ’cause that’s how magic this wedding was!
